OTHER DUTIES: Performs other duties such as maintenance of government vehicles, facility and grounds maintenance, work area clean-up, or administrative duties as required. Will perform general housekeeping and other job-related tasks. May be required to handle hazardous material/hazardous waste. Other functions include assisting in the orientation and training of other technicians at this level when directed by the supervisor. May be required to obtain specialized certifications and training.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be a technical or service school graduate in electronics and have two years' experience as an Electronics Technician. Possession of a CDL Class "B" or "C" is a plus. A current Electronics Technician Certification is a plus.
Experience: Minimum five years’ experience as an Electronics Tech working in a radio frequency (RF) systems field is de- sired. Telemetry data collection or related systems experience, e.g. tracking radar, passive aircraft tracking, highly desired.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Supports E-OMS operational objectives. Observes company Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security and Administrative policies; supports Process Improvement.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Primary work environment is indoors in a climate-controlled building, but will be required to work outdoors in cold, heat, dust and high humidity. Performs other duties such as maintenance of government vehicles, facility and grounds maintenance, work area clean-up, or administrative duties as required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Required to climb, bend, stoop, lift up to 50 pounds, pull, or carry heavy items. Must be able to climb all antenna towers, ladders/safety devices to heights of 45 to 100 feet and lift 50 pounds unassisted.
