OTHER DUTIES: Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor as necessary to support contract and mission support requirements in job-related areas. Performs general housekeeping duties, facility inspections, vehicle upkeep, facility security, and other related job tasks to assigned work areas. Will be required to interface with Government test/range engineers, range users, O&M contractors, other ranges users, range safety, aircraft/airspace control agencies, and aircrews to attain test and training objectives. Will assist with training lower-level technicians.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: High School graduate or equivalent (GED) is required with experience in Training/Test Ranges. 7 years' experience in the TRIMAC Training/Testing Ranges section; completed required training and demonstrated proficiency in TRIMAC Ranges Operation and procedure to perform inspections and control functions. Must be able to proficiently perform duties without oversight. Must have outstanding knowledge of Test and Training Range Operations, Test and Training Range Capabilities. Must be computer literate and able to perform primary job functions using computers and displays. Must have good verbal and written communications skills. Certified Test Area Controller (TAC), operating on the Test Area SRI Blockhouse Control, A-15A Kimberly, A-15B Abigail is a plus.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Must be able to navigate the Eglin Test and Training Complex Day or night without a map. May be required to work shift-work, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must demonstrate knowledge on E-AFBI 13-212 CH 9 and E-OMS 2206-2001, Training Ranges Inspection, Maintenance & Control Program. Demonstrate the ability to access Live Link and utilize range safety profiles. Showcase the capability of accessing Daily Mission Schedule (both forecasted and final) and identify mission support requirements and conflicts related to ranges within their scope of responsibility. Supports E-OMS operational objectives; observes company Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security and Administrative policies; supports Process Improvement. Candidates must be able to pass physical and eye exams related to the job functions. May be required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work may be performed at various heights above ground level. May perform duties both inside and outside and be subjected to a variety of environmental conditions typical to the work area.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Occasionally required to stoop, bend, kneel, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions, and move heavy items. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Must be able to ascend/descend multiple stories of stairways to perform some job functions.
